About Us

Eric Cornett

Born in Alabama, Eric later moved to Philadelphia and eventually landed in Minnesota where he grew up and graduated from Eden Prairie High School. Eric went on to attend the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul.

Eric stated out his career by doing illustrations for publications such as "Dragon" magazine. He later joined a studio group and painted backgrounds for theatre and rock bands. After several years of this he bought his own business, "Faux Pas", which specializes in Faux Finishes on walls, ceilings and furniture. His studio is located in Minneapolis. He has painted mural for Sidney's and Fawbushes in the galleria and at the Jones Harrison Retirement Home. Though the majority of his work is residential he also enjoys the creativity involved in working with businesses to help design settings that accent the decor. He likes to give his work a personal, warm feeling.

He states, "The finish should work naturally with the room. The work should be a part of the feeling, not the central theme."
